Restaurant online ordering system

A restaurant online ordering system takes pickup and delivery orders and sends them to the kitchen. The one from Meypi Developers, a software studio in the Barcelona metropolitan area, puts orders from your website, table QR codes, the phone and Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat into one queue, and we charge no commission on orders from your website: you pay the monthly fee per venue.

What is a restaurant online ordering system?

It lets your guests order from their phone, for pickup or delivery, and gets the order to your kitchen without anyone copying it by hand.

Ours does not stop at the website: orders from QR codes, the phone and delivery platforms go into the same queue, and your kitchen sees them all in one place.

How does an order from your website reach your customer’s door?

From your customer’s phone to their door, without anyone copying an order by hand.

  1. They order on your website

Your customer goes to your website, chooses pickup or delivery and sees your menu with the prices for that way of serving. Anything that has sold out can no longer be ordered.

  2. Each dish, their way

They choose the size, the extras and, for pizzas, half and half, with the dish’s allergens in plain view.

  3. A time your kitchen can meet

They choose a pickup or delivery slot. Each slot takes as many orders as your kitchen can handle, and full slots are no longer offered. If their slot fills up or a dish sells out while they order, they are told before paying and do not lose their basket.

  4. Your zones, your minimum and your fees

For delivery, their address must be in one of your delivery zones, with that zone’s minimum order and delivery fee, which they see before paying.

  5. They pay online

They pay by card and the money goes into your account. The order only counts as paid when the payment gateway confirms it, and nobody is ever charged twice.

  6. From the kitchen to their door

The order joins the same queue as those from the dining room, the QR codes, the phone and the platforms, and each kitchen station sees its part. The rider marks pickup and delivery on their phone, and your customer follows every step.

What your ordering system does

All your orders, wherever they come from, in one queue.

  1. Orders from your website

For pickup or delivery, with online payment going into your account.

  2. QR codes and phone

Orders from the table, the counter and the phone go into the same queue.

  3. Platforms in the same queue

Orders from Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat arrive alongside yours, and sold-out items and your opening hours are sent to them automatically.

  4. Time slots with capacity

Each slot takes as many orders as your kitchen can handle, and no more.

  5. Zones and fees

Delivery zones, each with its minimum order and delivery fee, and guests track their order until it arrives.

  6. Delivery

You assign each order to a rider, who marks pickup and delivery on their phone.

We set up your zones, time slots and platforms with you when you start.

How are time slots, zones and delivery fees controlled?

Each pickup or delivery slot takes as many orders as your kitchen can get out in that time. When it fills up, it is no longer offered, and your kitchen never receives more than it can prepare.

For delivery, you set your zones and give each one its minimum order and delivery fee. Your customer sees them before paying, and your rider knows which zone each order is going to.

  • Time slots with capacity

Not one order more than your kitchen can handle.

  • Delivery zones

You only deliver where you deliver.

  • Minimum order per zone

    Each zone with its own.

  • Delivery fee per zone

    Shown before payment.

  • Tracking

Your customer sees when their order leaves and when it arrives.

Who charges what on each order?

Meypi charges no commission on orders from your website: you pay your venue’s monthly fee. The payment gateway charges its own fee on each card payment, and the delivery platforms still charge their commissions on the orders that come through them.

On your website, the customer is also yours: their order stays on their record and, if they accept your campaigns, you can write to them under your brand or give them coupons, codes and points to bring them back.

  • Meypi

Your venue’s fee, with no commission per order.

  • The payment gateway

Its own fee on each card payment.

  • The platforms

    Their commissions, on their orders.

  • Your customers

With their record, their orders and your promotions.

What if something goes wrong halfway through an order?

An order sent twice is not duplicated: each one carries its own key. And it only counts as paid when the gateway confirms it; if the response is lost, that same payment is checked and nobody is ever charged again.

If the Internet goes down, the kitchen keeps its queue and, when the connection comes back, anything pending is sent. For every kind of breakdown, whether it is the Internet, the power, the printer, a tablet or a platform that is down, you have a written plan.

  • No repeated orders

    Each order goes in once.

  • No double charges

Only what the gateway confirms counts.

  • The kitchen keeps going

With its queue, even if the Internet goes down.

  • A plan for every breakdown

    In writing, before you start.

We connect online payment to your account.

We add ordering to the website you already have or to a new one.

  5. The platforms

We bring orders from the platforms you work with into the queue.

  6. Your team

Kitchen, counter and riders learn to use it before the first service.

From the first order, they all go into the same queue.

When it is not worth it

If nearly all your orders come through the platforms and you do not want guests ordering on your website, you do not need it. Even so, you can bring the platforms into one queue.

How much does an online ordering system cost?

You pay your venue’s monthly fee, with no commission from Meypi on each order from your website. What shapes the fee:

  1. Venues

Each venue has its own fee.

  2. Delivery

Whether you deliver yourself and in how many zones.

  3. Platforms

How many delivery platforms you work with.

  4. Devices

Whether you use your own tablets and printers or prefer the pack with installation.

We send you the proposal in writing, with the fee and everything it includes.

Questions about online ordering

Do you charge a commission per order?

No. For orders from your website you pay the venue’s fee, with no commission from us. The payment gateway charges its own fee on each card payment, and delivery platforms still charge their commissions on their orders.

Do orders from Glovo, Uber Eats and Just Eat come in too?

Yes. They go into the same queue as your website and dining room orders, and your kitchen sees them all in one place.

Do I have to replace my till?

No. The system works alongside the till you already use, and reconciles with it at closing.
