When it does not pay off
If an off-the-shelf tool covers your process without forcing it, start there: you get it sooner and it costs less at first. Custom software pays off when the way you work is what sets you apart, when you pay for several tools that do not talk to each other, or when per-user fees grow faster than the business.

Yes, if the other tool allows it. Most offer an API, which is how two programs pass data to each other without anyone copying it by hand.
Do you work with companies outside Barcelona?
Yes. The studio is in the Barcelona metropolitan area and we work with businesses across Spain. Meetings are by video call or phone, and in person when the project calls for it.
How do I choose a custom software company?
Ask to see software of theirs that is running today, not just screenshots. Make sure the quote comes in writing and split into phases. And make sure the code and the data are in your company’s name.
