Custom CRM development for businesses

A custom CRM is the customer and sales system built around the way your team sells. At Meypi Developers, a software studio in the Barcelona metropolitan area, we handle custom CRM development for businesses across Spain: we design it, build it and maintain it, and once it’s finished the code and the data belong to your company.

What is a custom CRM?

A custom CRM is a system for managing customers, sales opportunities and the follow-up on each one, designed for one specific company. It uses that company’s own sales steps and terms, stores the information it needs and connects to the tools it already uses.

An off-the-shelf CRM is sold the same way to thousands of companies, and each one adapts to it. A custom CRM adapts to your team.

What your CRM does

What a custom CRM usually includes. Yours will have what your team actually uses, nothing more and nothing less.

  1. Customers and history

Each customer’s record with their details, calls, emails and what they’ve bought.

  2. Sales opportunities

Every deal at its stage, using your team’s own steps, so you can see at a glance what’s about to close.

  3. Tasks and reminders

Who needs to call whom and when, so no follow-up goes cold.

  4. Quotes

Quotes created from the customer record, with your own templates.

  5. Reports

How much is sold, what works and where deals get stuck, without building spreadsheets.

  6. Permissions and connections

Who can see each piece of data, and connections to your accounting, website or email if the other tool allows it.

What goes into each phase is set out in writing in the proposal.

How we build it, in phases

We start with the essentials so your team can use it as soon as possible, and extend it afterwards.

  1. How you sell

We talk to the people who sell and look at the spreadsheets and tools they use today.

  2. Written proposal

What goes into the first phase and what comes later, split into phases.

  3. First phase

A small first version with what your team needs now, with your data moved over from spreadsheets or the CRM you use today.

  4. Further phases

We add the next pieces once the first phase is working, using what your team has learnt from it.

Once it’s finished, the code and the data belong to your company.

When it isn’t worth it

If an off-the-shelf CRM fits the way you sell without forcing it, start there: you get it sooner and it costs less at first. A custom CRM pays off when the way you sell is what sets you apart, when your current CRM makes your team work around it, or when your customer information is spread across several tools and spreadsheets.

How much does a custom CRM cost?

There’s no single figure: the price depends on what your CRM has to do. These are the factors that move it most.

  1. Steps and screens

How many sales steps, screens and user types it has.

  2. Connections

How many tools it connects to, such as accounting, your website or email.

  3. Data to move

How much information has to come over from spreadsheets or the CRM you use today.

  4. Mobile

Whether your team uses it on the road and needs an app.

  5. Phases

How many phases the project has and what goes into each.

The quote reaches you in writing and split into phases, with what is delivered in each. Once it’s up and running, we maintain it with the Evolution plan.

Questions about custom CRMs

Who owns the code and the data?

Your company. Once it’s finished, the CRM, its code and the information it holds are yours.

Can you move the data from my spreadsheets or my current CRM?

Yes. We move it into the new CRM in the first phase, so your team starts with the customers they already have.

Can I start small?

Yes. The first phase covers only the essentials, and the rest is added in phases once you’re already using it.

Who maintains the CRM afterwards?

We do, with the Evolution plan: development hours to improve it, a monthly meeting and a reply on the same working day.
