What does WordPress maintenance include?

A WordPress website depends on pieces that are updated separately: WordPress itself, the theme and each plugin. If they aren’t updated, security flaws appear; if they’re updated carelessly, something stops working. Maintaining it means updating it every month with a backup taken first, checking everything still works and making sure it stays up.

This is what maintenance includes on any of the plans.

    WordPress, the theme and the plugins, with a backup before and a check afterwards.

  2. Security

    We fix security flaws in WordPress, the theme and the plugins as soon as they are published.

  3. Backups

    We keep copies of your website so it can be restored if something fails.

  4. Downtime monitoring

    If your website stops working, we find out and respond the same day.

  5. Changes

    The content changes or improvements included in your plan.

  6. SEO follow-up

    Six months of tracking how your website shows up on Google.

If we didn’t build your website

Before we look after a WordPress website we didn’t build, we review it. That way you know what state it’s in and which plan suits it.

  1. Review

    We check versions, plugins, security and backups, and tell you what we find.

  2. Bringing it up to date

    If needed, we bring it up to date before we start. What needs doing comes to you in writing.

  3. Plan

    You choose Essential, Growth or Evolution and monthly maintenance begins.

If you would rather start from scratch, we also build new WordPress websites.

Three maintenance plans

All three keep your website secure and running. What changes is how much we work with you each month and how quickly we respond. No minimum term: you can cancel with one month’s notice.

  1. Essential

    Updates and security, backups, downtime monitoring, a monthly report and six months of SEO follow-up. If your website has Meypi Core, your team changes text and photos straight away; any other change is quoted separately. We respond within 2 working days.

  2. Growth

    Everything in Essential, plus hours each month for changes that can’t be made in the editor: new sections, forms or connections to other programs. Every month, a Google report and an improvement proposal. We respond within 1 working day.

  3. Evolution

    For shops, bookings, apps and custom software. Everything in Growth, plus development hours as agreed in your proposal, a monthly meeting and priority. We respond on the same working day.

If your website goes down, we respond the same day, whatever your plan. On all three you deal directly with the people who look after your website.

There is no single figure: it depends on your website and the plan. These are the factors that move it most.

  4. The plan

    Essential, Growth or Evolution, depending on the work each month.

Questions about WordPress maintenance

Do you maintain WordPress websites you didn’t build?

Yes. First we review it to see what state it’s in and what it needs, and then we propose a plan.

Is there a minimum term?

No. You can cancel whenever you like with one month’s notice.

How quickly do you respond?

It depends on the plan: 2 working days on Essential, 1 on Growth and the same day on Evolution. If the website goes down, we respond the same day on all of them.

What if something stops working after an update?

We take a backup before every update. If something fails, we go back to it and fix the problem.
