1. How much does it cost to build a website?

There is no single price. A website can be one page with a contact form or an online shop with payments, customer accounts and a link to your stock, and the work behind each has little in common. That is why quotes for websites that look alike at first glance can be so far apart.

What you can know before asking for a quote is what pushes the price up or down. That is what this guide covers.

2. What does the price of a website depend on?

• The type of website.: A one-page landing page, a company website with several sections and an online shop are different pieces of work.
• Pages and languages.: Every page is designed, written and tested, and every language adds its own copy.
• Custom design or a template.: A template already exists; a custom design is made for your brand and for what your customers come looking for.
• Features.: Forms, bookings, payments, a private area or a search box add development and testing.
• Integrations.: If the site has to talk to your management software, your CRM or your stock system, that link is built and tested.
• Copy and photos.: They can be yours or ours, depending on the project, and they change the work involved.
• What your team edits.: Which parts of the website your team can change without relying on anyone, such as copy, photos or news.

3. What does a website quote from us include?

We send it in writing, with a plan split into phases and dates. Once you approve it, the order is signed and an initial payment is made. From there:

• A complete design of the website, which we adjust with you until you approve it, before any development.
• Development, with copy and photos, ours or yours, depending on the project.
• Launch with domain, hosting, Google registration (Search Console), training and visitor analytics.
• A panel so you can edit it yourself (Meypi Core), unless your company asks for a different technology, such as WordPress.

Monthly maintenance is optional and quoted separately.

4. Why are two quotes for the same website so different?

Because they rarely quote for the same thing. One may start from a template and the other from a custom design. One includes copy, hosting and Google registration, and the other charges for them separately or leaves them out.

To compare them, ask each quote to state in writing what is delivered, in which phases and what is left out.

5. How long does it take to build a website?

A simple website is ready in about 10 days; anything else depends on the project. The plan in the quote sets the dates for each phase.
